Ingredients
-
500
g
flour
(I used Wheat Flour. You can use all purpose or bread flour)
-
tsp
salt
-
80
g
melted butter
-
2
eggs
-
2
tsp
sugar
-
200
ml
warm water
-
4
tbsp
warm milk
-
2
tsp
yeast
Instructions
-
Mix Water and Milk.
Add the sugar and yeast. Let stand for about 10 minutes (while preparing other ingredients and greasing baking dish)- The mixture should foam a bit.
Mix flour and salt
Add melted butter and eggs
Add liquid (mix of water, milk, sugar and yeast).
Mix everything together, if necessary adding a bit of flour at a time as you knead the dough. You want the dough to be soft but not sticking to your fingers.
Once the dough is kneaded (and not sticking to your fingers), cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let it stand for about an hour in a warm place.
-
After an hour the dough should have doubled in size.
Punch it down and knead it a bit more
Shape it how you would like (loaf or rolls) and place it in your greased baking dish.
Cover with a damp cloth and let it stand for about another 45-60 minutes.
-
Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius
Place in oven and bake for about 20 minutes- until rolls are golden brown
Remove from the oven then glaze with some butter
Be sure not to over-bake them else they become hard!
Enjoy.
